Joseph “Randy” Wallace

Randy Wallace is a highly experienced professional pilot and aviation instructor with over 18,500 flight hours accumulated across decades of global operations. Known for his strong commitment to safety, precision, and regulatory excellence, he has built a career grounded in disciplines flight operations, risk management, and leadership.
Currently serving as a simulator and ground school instructor with SIMCOM/CAE in Orlando, Florida, Randy provides both initial and recurrent training in the Embraer Phenom 300 and Challenger 300 platforms. His instructional approach emphasizes real-world operational proficiency, crew coordination, and safety-focused decision-making.
Previously, Randy served as a Captain for ABX Air, operating aircraft including the B-767, DC-8, and YS-11, while contributing to key safety and compliance programs such as FOQA Gatekeeper, ASAP, ERC, and ADS-B MOPS. He also played an active role in accident investigation and served on senior safety committees, reinforcing his deep involvement in aviation safety systems.
His earlier career includes captain roles with SAT Air flying the SA-227 in ACMI operations for UPS, as well as corporate and charter flying experience in a variety of aircraft including the PA-34, PA-32, and CE-50.
In addition to his operational background, Randy has pursued formal training in accident investigation through the FAA Transportation Safety Institute and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He is widely recognized for his professionalism, mentorship, and ability to lead teams effectively in high-tempo environments.
